Anne Bonny
To start off, each student had to choose an influential person they wanted to research. We had to look into their lives, see how they lived, where they lived, how long they lived and how they made a difference. I decided to research Anne Bonny, an Irish/American female pirate who sailed the seven seas in the 1700s. She interested me because she was free to make her own choices (which was odd in the 1700s) and she set out to do what she wanted to do. Anne Bonny didn't let anything or anyone stop her and I think she is very influential. I researched her for weeks to write this paper to recap her life story and tell how she was influential.
I learned so much from writing this paper and doing research. For one, I learned all about Anne Bonny and she interests me so much because of her willingness to do whatever she wanted to do. I learned the story of Anne Bonny and how she changed the world. A HOHAM that I used was intellectual curiosity by looking deeper into the story and seeking out new perspectives that would help me learn more about my "It Person".
