CASHEE
The CAHSEE Math section was particularly easy for me and I felt I did well on the test. I prepared myself for the CAHSEE by practicing problems in class that were similar to the math section. I feel I did well on the questions that involved equations and a coordinate plane. I have been doing many problems that involve equations and coordinate planes in math, so I think that helped prepare me from the questions on the test. When it came to a problem I was unsure about, I would try to break down the problem as best as I could and try to put it together in my mind. I used some Habits of a Mathematician on the CAHSEE such as Starting Small and Being Confident, Patient & Persistent. I would start with the basic equation on the test and work myself through step by step, that is how I started small. I was confident, patient and persistent because I would always try to do my best on problems I was unsure of and made sure I was confident with my answer. I feel I need to improve on Conjecturing & Testing because I wasn't doing it that much on the test even though it was sometimes the easier way. I would start breaking down the problem, then realize I could plug in one of the answers to solve the question.

I am planning to take the SAT and ACT next year, and I have also been thinking about taking the SAT this year as well. I haven't been thinking about the SAT/ACT that much, but to prepare myself I am going to do my best in all my classes and learn as much as I can. I will do anything to prepare myself for the SAT and ACT because I really want to get into a college I enjoy.
